I hope you are well and please excuse the direct approach. We have exchanged some emails regarding Marine opportunities lately and I wondered if you can assist me with the following position that I am currently handling?
One of my clients, a leading international offshore support firm operating Elevated Support Vessels as well as supply and AHTS ships globally currently requires an HSE Officer to join it's operations in Abu Dhabi. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional to gain some international experience within a firm with a great reputation.
As HSE Officer your primary responsibility will be ensuring that GMS vessels are operating in compliance with GMS QHSE Policies and QHSE MS. Additional responsibilities will include:
* Verifying the effective implementation and maintenance of the QHSE MS.
* Recommend changes or improvements to the QHSE MS.
* Ensuring that vessel and shore-based audits are carried out in line with Audit and Review contained in the Marine Safety Management Systems Manual (MSMS)
* Undertake training courses to develop the personnel of GMS in their responsibilities towards all aspects of HSE issues from senior management to the general workforce.
* Ensuring the MSMS & HSE MS policy statements are understood by sea based and shore based personnel.
Qualifications and Experience:
â?? At least a Neebosh level graduate or equivalent combination of experience and education
â?? Minimum of 5 years of general experience preferably within an Marine HSE environment.
â?? Must have analytical experience, be accurate with statistics well organized and exercise sound judgment in decision making.
â?? Has in-depth understanding of safety management systems and procedures and makes appropriate decisions based on this knowledge.
â?? Exposure to marine standards is desirable.
â?? Knowledge and experience in security control reporting is preferred.
â?? Software expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Knowledge in other MS Office package is an advantage.
â?? Ability to deal with people tactfully and effectively.
In return our client is offering:
- 25K AED Per month base Salary
